In 2025, we contributed $450 to support the Flamingo Specialist Group’s 4th International Flamingo Symposium, held in Mestre-Venice, Italy, on November 11–13, 2025. Our contribution helped bring researchers and conservationists from around the world together to share knowledge and strengthen efforts to protect flamingos and their habitats.
In 2026, we contributed $3,550 to support flamingo conservation and rehabilitation in Peru and Bonaire. This included $3,300 for David G. Ricalde’s work protecting Chilean flamingos in Peru’s Sechura Desert through field surveys, monitoring young flamingos as wetlands receded, and community patrols to deter poaching during the breeding season, plus $250 to Bonaire Wild Bird Rehab to help rehabilitate flamingos.
